Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the MindRise Android app (“the App”) handles, why, and the choices you have. The App is published by BlueFireLab (“we”, “us”).
1. No account required
You can use the App without creating an account. We do not ask for your email address, phone number or location. A display name is optional and is used only for greetings inside the App.
2. Information stored only on your device
- Your optional display name, learning interests and daily goal
- Reading and listening progress, playback positions, XP, levels, streaks, challenges and achievements
- Bookmarks, favourites and downloaded audio
- Journal entries you write (gratitude notes and reflections)
- Settings such as language, theme, text size and reminder times
This information stays on your device and is never sent to us. Your journal and learning history are excluded from Android cloud backups. You can reset your progress or delete all of this data at any time in Profile → Settings → Privacy & data, and it is removed when you uninstall the App.
3. Content delivery
Articles, audio lessons and the content list are downloaded from our content delivery provider (Cloudflare). Like any web server, the provider receives your IP address and basic technical information (such as the requested file and app version) in order to deliver the files, and may keep short-term access logs for security and reliability. We do not collect reading or listening statistics on our servers and do not build a profile of you.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App is free and shows ads provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect and use information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, and app interaction data to serve, measure and (where permitted) personalise ads. Where consent is required (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), the App asks for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform before ads are requested. You can change your choice at any time in Profile → Settings → Ad privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings.
Rewarded ads are always optional. Full-screen ads are never shown while you are reading or while audio is playing.
5. Notifications and device features
- Reminders are optional and scheduled on your device; you can turn them off at any time.
- “Listen to this article” uses your device's built-in text-to-speech engine.
- Sharing an article happens only when you choose to share it.
6. What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services inside the App.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, camera or precise location.
7. Children
The App is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Security
All content is delivered over encrypted HTTPS connections.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to processing. Because we do not collect personal information ourselves, most requests concern advertising data held by Google; you can still contact us at any time.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Significant changes will be announced in the App or on this page.
